Description

Hole punch for end weld detection

Description

A hole is punched into the strip next to the end weld and it is detected just before the strip enters the Mill.

Applications

Required where automatic end weld detection is required for quality amd or material tracking reasons. Also sometimes used to trigger flying strip shears at the entry to the mill.

Very reliable and low maintenance method of end weld detection. Also good method for rendering end weld unusable.
